so i work at my university’s library, and today, this guy and girl come in and kind of approach the desk. so, naturally, i go, “what can i do for you?” and the girl says, “i’d like to check out a book.” i wait. nothing. they just look at me. a little confused, i go, “do you know the title or…
rofl, that was SOO funny!
I did a sketch of the girl from Owl City’s ‘Vanilla Twilight’ music video… more because Josiah said I should try and use a certain method…
…so I did. I’m such a sucker *faceplalm*<—- but that’s a HAPPY facepalm right there!!
This Just Makes Me Mad…
http://visionarydaughters.com/2012/04/trapped-in-a-tower-asks-for-advice
…as *IF* we wanted their insignificant opinion on ‘Tangled’. For *GOSH* sake! Mother Gothel was the *bad guy*. They almost DEFEND her because she was the ‘mother’.
And Rapunzel never claimed to be ‘special’. Gosh…
1. she was a legal adult. You can leave home legitametly (and by biblical standards too) when you’re 18. You can’t stay home forever. You CAN’T trap your kids in a tower like that. WHAT do you *expect* if you give them NO friends, and keep them away from everything all their life?
2. Gothel wasn’t her real mother. Gothel kidnapped her. She’s supposed to get back to her real parents.
3. Vision Forum and Visionary Daughters need to stop ‘picking’ on every little thing they dislike.
4. I’ve been in that situation myself with my dad. I’m pretty sure I didn’t sin by leaving the house because my dad was abusive physically and verbally. There is no Biblical text that says: ‘children thou shalt stay in your parent’s house even when you’re 42 years old… UNTIL you get married. Being married is the ONLY legitamate way to get out of your parents house.’
oh sure, Rapunzel did it behind Gothel’s back, but Gothel is the badguy. Gothel was selfish, cruel, and evil. And IF Rapunzel realizes she’s NOT Gothel’s real daughter, WHY THE HECK SHOULD SHE STAY?!
THis is really sick, Visonary Daughters. Just because *you* have a sheltered life and just because your dad’s been there for you all your life, it doesn’t mean others have it good like you.
Stop being so cynical. You’re wasting your time writing articles against movies when there are people who need the Gospel. Who are lost and hurting. Instead of helping them, you’d rather tell them how ‘media’ from Hollywood (and unChristian organization, obviously… duh) is soooo ‘evil’. Yes, a lot of it is. Some of it’s decent. Like Tangled… and HTTYD, how do you have real problems with How to Train Your Dragon? Seriously?
You’d rather give *your* stupid little opinion in a high and mighty way instead of helping people who have real needs. Go help people, stop being so cynical and harsh! Christ was compassionate and He pitied the people He ministered to.
Yes, He certainly rebuked Peter for denying Him, BUT it was so gentle and kind. It wasn’t harsh or cruel.
I know… I’m upset myself… and it’s no excuse, but I’ve had years of you tearing me down. And years of reading your stuff and coming away bawling and wanting to just die because I can’t be that ‘perfect’. You give no hope. You hurt. You’re cruel. And you’re mean about what you believe. You’re arrogant about your ‘learning’.
I’m sorry for being upset. I’m sorry for being angry. I’m not angry now. But this was the last straw… you can’t force people to live the way you do. Especially when the way you live isn’t mandates from Scripture. The way you live is preference… nothing more. It’s not a Scripture.
I’m sorry for being mad, forgive me. But seriously… you know nothing about how hard real life can be. It’s hard. You claim to live in ‘real life’ but you live in a sort of fantasy world of your own and can’t see the difference…
Again, sorry for being upset. But this post was too much
whoa! I can’t believe Burdge-bug reblogged Narnia! I didn’t know she was into it! :)

“I wish people my age didn’t say Disney is for little kids or judge them for liking kid stuff when they’re still kids themselves”
A few weeks ago, a little kid told me that Disney is for little kids. >8/
“From the beginning, David established that he wanted to set an example of a short engagement, an inexpensive wedding and reception, and a wedding-atmosphere that pointed to real life instead of fantasy-land pageantry.”— Visionary Daughters
my GOSH! According to THIS I’m practically *sinning* because I want to have a fairytale themed wedding, and I’m even MORE wrong because I wear mix-matched socks, *claiming* it keeps away evil dragons… goodness. I know the difference between *REAL* life and *imagination* but using an imagination only adds colour and isn’t a sin… good-gravy
…Vision Forum has no life… period
